On behalf of the Plainfield Lions Club, I would like to extend a big “thank you” to the following people who helped make our recent Christmas “Basket” program a success. Because of your kindness and thoughtfulness, 196 families and 1036 people were helped with a record $61,500 of Jewel gift cards! The Plainfield Lions have now given $521,700 in groceries to Plainfield area residents over the past 27 years.

• Lion Tom Bowen for once again offering his hospitality and shop for delivery headquarters.
