Anchoring the starting linebacker unit for North Central College are three players forged under the same Friday night lights just miles apart: Danny Nuccio (#33) of Plainfield North, Matthew Janiak (#5) of Plainfield South, and Philip Carlton Jr. (#28) of Plainfield Central. Together, they form the backbone of one of NCAA Division III football’s most dominant defenses and are a living symbol of Plainfield football’s depth, toughness, and consistency.

For years, PSD 202 programs have quietly produced disciplined, college-ready athletes, but Nuccio, Janiak, and Carlton Jr. stand out even among them.
