Woman Sentenced For Fatally Running Plainfield Man Over With His Car
The man was found unresponsive with tire marks on his chest in the parking lot of the former Pheasant Run Resort in St. Charles.

PLAINFIELD, IL — A 61-year-old woman received a 15-year prison sentence for fatally running her Plainfield boyfriend over with his car in 2018, prosecutors said.
Kathleen Vulpitta, formerly of River Grove, pleaded guilty to one count of second-degree murder on Nov. 30, according to a news release from the DuPage County State's Attorney's Office. The conviction stems from the September 2018 death of Earl Hagen, Jr.
On Sept. 6, 2018, the St. Charles Police Department was called to the former Pheasant Run Resort on North Avenue, where they found Hagen unresponsive in the west portion of the parking lot.

Vulpitta and Hagen had been staying at the resort together and, at some point during the evening, got into an argument, according to authorities.
When the argument turned physical, Vulpitta left their room and went to the parking lot, and Hagen followed. While in the parking lot, Vulpitta entered Hagen's vehicle and struck him with the vehicle. Hagen, who was found with tire marks on his chest, was dead when authorities arrived at the scene.
