• Father charged in death of infant son in Mount Prospect (dailyherald.com) — A criminal case tied to a baby's 2025 death in Mount Prospect is now moving through the Cook County courthouse in Rolling Meadows, where the child's father remains jailed. Authorities say the 19-year-old is charged with endangering the welfare of a child after allegedly leaving his 5-month-old son unattended for hours; his next court date is set for Sept. 11.
