2023 Veteran, Service Member Banner Program In Romeoville

ROMEOVILLE, IL - Orders are due soon for the Village's 2023 veteran and service member banner program. The program is a way to remember or honor a Romeoville veteran, by displaying a vinyl banner on the light poles in front of Village Hall from May through November.

A new banner is $45, the Village website states. A renewal banner is $20, and must be in good condition to be hung again.

Orders for 2023 banners must be received by Jan. 1, 2023. Only 40 banners are hung per year. At the end of November, the banners are given to those who purchased them.

Part of the proceeds from the program goes toward the Veterans Commission scholarship fund and paying for veterans assistance programs, the Village website states.

To qualify for the program, the Veteran must be a current resident, or if they are deceased, they must previously have lived in Romeoville.
