Accused Shooter in Joliet Wendy's Killing Gets Trial Date
Daeviontae Pruitte faces two counts of murder in connection with a 2012 shooting outside a Joliet Wendy's.

A judge on Monday set a trial date of June 8 for the gang member accused of killing a Crest Hill man during a 2012 shooting outside a Joliet fast food restaurant, according to a Herald-News report.

Daeviontae Pruitte, 21, was charged with two counts of murder in connection with shooting and killing Timothy Egner, 54, who was waiting to drive home a family friend who worked the night shift at Wendy’s.
In 2014, Pruitte finished a prison term for being a gang member in possession of a firearm at Illinois River Correctional Center when he was transported to the Will County jail and booked on the murder charges.
