Amazon Jobs Day: On-The-Spot Hiring Wednesday In Romeoville

The retailer is looking to hire 50,000 people during Amazon Jobs Day events nationwide.

ROMEOVILLE, IL — Amazon is looking to hire more than 50,000 people nationwide, and to do that, the online retailer will host jobs fairs on Aug. 2 at multiple warehouses across the country, including the Romeoville location, 1125 W. Remington Blvd. Amazon Jobs Day is slated for 8 a.m. to noon Wednesday.

Amazon is looking to hire thousands in Illinois over the next two years and is planning to open a Crest Hill distribution center next fall. That location alone could bring 400 to 800 jobs to Will County.

Amazon is calling Jobs Day its largest hiring event of the year, saying some applicants will get "on-the-spot job offers" for full- and part-time positions. Candidates can tour the facility and participate in job interviews. Interested candidates should bring identification.
