Missing Romeoville Woman Possibly Suicidal: Family
The 63-year-old was last seen leaving her home on Sunday.

ROMEOVILLE, IL — Family members say a possibly suicidal Romeoville woman has been missing from her home since Sunday. Romeoville police confirmed that Kathleen Delhotal, 63, was last seen leaving her home on Sunday afternoon. Her family reported her missing on Monday, police said.
Romeoville Deputy Chief Steve Lucchesi said police are working closely with Delhotal's son and daughter and following up on leads in her disappearance. He said Delhotal's phone last pinged Monday south of Dwight.
"We don't know if she was actually in Dwight or if she was just traveling on the interstate," Lucchesi said. While it appears her phone is turned off much of the time, police said Delhotal did reply to a text message from a church group she belongs to — but the message she sent contained no words, just a period, Lucchesi said.

Police said Delhotal's family did indicate that she may be suicidal.
Delhotal reportedly told her son she was going to babysit before leaving the family's home on Sunday. But the children she claimed to be babysitting were in fact at her sister's home, a relative told ABC Chicago.
