Romeoville Metra Station Parking Lot To Get Expansion
The new station along the Heritage Corridor line opened in February.
ROMEOVILLE, IL — The new Romeoville Metra station opened in February and almost immediately filled up with eager commuters. Now, just over two months later, the village in cooperation with Metra, have completed the first phase in expanding the parking available at the station by another 160 spaces. The first phase includes engineering for the expanded parking lot.
“It is exciting to see that the station became so popular so quickly,” said Mayor John Noak. “Fortunately, we were able to work out an agreement with Metra to fund the engineering so we could get this expedited.”
