The Village reminds residents that approximately 10% of a homeowner’s property tax bill goes to the Village. The remaining 90% is collected by other taxing bodies. Property taxes are determined by the assessed value of homes, as evaluated by the township assessor, with bills issued by the Will County Treasurer’s office. If you believe the assessed value of your home is inaccurate, please contact your township assessor’s office or the Will County Board of Review for assistance.
