School Supply Giveaway Planned At Irene King Elementary

ROMEOVILLE, IL — It's already almost halfway through August, and that means back-to-school time is quickly approaching. Before Valley View students head back to school on Aug. 19, State Rep. Dagmara Avelar and State Sen. John Connor will hold a back-to-school book bag and school supply giveaway.

The event will be held from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday at Irene King Elementary, 302 Eaton Ave., in Romeoville. COVID-19 health guidelines will be followed, according to the event flyer, and RSVP is encouraged.

You can RSVP to 815-372-0085 or info@repdagmara.org. The event is first-come, first-serve up to 150 backpacks.
