Body Pulled From Des Plaines River

A body was pulled from the Des Plaines River Saturday afternoon.

The unidentified man was taken from the water at the Railroad Street boat launch south of Interstate 80 on the river’s west bank.

The man was pronounced deceased at 4:15 p.m. Saturday. He had been spotted by a Joliet police officer, according to Will County Coroner Patrick O’Neil’s office.

An autopsy was scheduled for today.
