Chowing at Chili's For Chump Change: Frugal Families

Frugal families love a good meal, especially when it has a great price. Chili’s fits the bill.

During the week from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., you can build a lunch combo for just $6. It’s a great way to celebrate a kid’s day off school. Or stop in after they get out for a special treat.

Start by choosing a house salad, bowl of chili, or one of their soups. Then choose from a list of yummy sandwiches. They have southwestern BLT, classic turkey toasted, or grilled ham and swiss.

For a dollar more, select the burger bites, bacon ranch chicken quesadillas or their over-the-top cobb.

If you’re feeling really flush, for $8 you can grab Cajun chicken pasta, the California club, or toasted fajita chicken sandwich.

All the lunch portions (except the pasta) include fries.
