Man Shot in Buttocks, Cops Arrest 1 on Weapons Charge
Detectives were still investigating the Saturday night gun attack.

A drive-by shooter put a bullet in a man’s buttocks during an early Saturday morning gun attack on the Hill.
The targeted 25-year-old man was walking near the corner of Robin Lane and Fairmont Avenue shortly before 1 a.m. when a red Dodge Charger drove up. A backseat passenger then leaned out a window and brandished a pistol, police said.
The passenger opened fire and the man took off running. The gunman got off three or four shots, one of which hit the runner in the buttocks.

The wounded man was taken to Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox.
City police and Will County deputies searched for the Charger and found a vehicle matching its description near the corner of Cass and Collins streets. Along with the Charger, the police stopped a black Mazda.

Officers searched the Mazda and found a pistol, police said. The caliber of the gun was reportedly consistent with shell casings recovered from the scene of the shooting.
The driver of the Mazda, 21-year-old Arshey Tyrone Harris, was charged with the aggravated unlawful use of a weapon. Harris was taken to the Will County jail.
Detectives were still investigating the gun attack, police said Monday morning.
