Shorewood Sex Offender Worked as Volunteer With Joliet Ravens Youth Football: Cops
The sex offender was jailed for allegedly communicating with a minor and hanging around a park.

A Shorewood sex offender was jailed after the cops learned he was working as a volunteer with the Joliet Ravens youth football organization, police said.
Pablo Cruz, 43, was an announcer when the Ravens played home games at Joliet Memorial Stadium, police said. He reportedly managed to do this from 2011 all the way through this year despite being a registered sex offender.
During the same four-year period, Cruz would also “attend practices and work the sidelines during home and away games,” according to a statement released by the Will County Sheriff’s Department.

Cruz was booked into the Will County jail about 12:30 p.m. Wednesday on charges of communicating with a minor and hanging around a public park. He was also wanted on a Kane County warrant charging him with driving while license suspended.
