Shorewood Home Invasion Attack Solved With Out Of Town Arrest

A man with 12 aliases was arrested on Thursday in connection with last weekend's Shorewood crimes.

JOLIET, IL - A 37-year-old Chicago man is now lodged in the Will County Jail in connection with last weekend's terrifying crime in Shorewood that left a woman in her eighties hospitalized during a daytime home invasion. According to jail logs, Angelo Ristick faces charges of battery, burglary, home invasion causing injury, identity theft and residential burglary.

The Will County booking information lists about a dozen different aliases used by the man whose address is listed as being the 7200 block of Halstead Avenue. The defendant is 5-foot-10 and weighs 260 pounds, jail records indicate.

Jail logs indicate that the defendant was booked into the county jail around 7:30 p.m. Thursday. His bail was set at $6 million by a Will County judge that issued a warrant for his arrest.

That means Ristick needs to come up with $600,000 cash to get out of jail while his charges are pending at the Will County Courthouse.

Around 7 p.m. Shorewood's Police Department posted a message on its Facebook page informing their followers that "With the assistance of several law enforcement agencies an arrest was made in reference to this investigation. A formal release of the information will be disseminated later this evening."

Shorewood Police arrest reports indicate that Ristick was arrested around noon on Thursday in the 300 block of East Ohio Street in Chicago by the Chicago Police Department. Shorewood Police noted that Ristick is also known as Sam Mitchell.
