On Feb. 1, Joliet Patch reported that Gregory, then 28, was booked into the Will County Jail after Shorewood police say he threw a woman to the ground inside his house after throwing a dining room chair at her and threatening to stab her in the heart.

During the altercation in the home, Gregory threatened the woman, throwing a dining room chair at her and missing, which left a hole in the wall, according to police.

Gregory also grabbed a knife used to open envelopes, raising it into the air, deputy police chief Eric Allen said at the time. The Shorewood man grabbed the woman, dragged her to the ground and threatened to stab her in the heart, Allen said.

In that case, Gregory spent a week in the Will County Jail before posting 10 percent of his $10,000 bail. Gregory is now charged with aggravated assault using a deadly weapon, resisting arrest and domestic battery.

That case is scheduled for a Will County jury trial in Courtroom 801 on Oct. 3.
