They Could Call It What? Tell Us What You Think of Louie's Likely New Name
Louie's Chophouse closed Saturday night and plans to reopen as an upscale bar. What do Patch readers think of the tentative new name?

People still want to go out to dinner in this economy, but many can't afford a high-end steak house, said George Gelis. That is why his family decided to renovate Louie's Chophouse into an upscale sports bar.
They are about 80 percent sure what they are going to name the new place. To help, they are asking the public to weigh in.
Before the big reveal, Gelis shared many other details.

The inside will be renovated into a bigger bar surrounded by tables, he said. There will be a stage for live music on weekends. It will be family-oriented, with a game room for kids.
The menu will feature fair pricing, as well, Gelis said. Entrées will range from $8 to $20. There will still be the Angus steaks, fresh seafood, chops and ribs that made Louie's famous.

They will also add burgers, wraps, paninis, and salads. They will feature lunch, dinner, catering and banquets.
The owners have an ambitious goal of opening by Halloween, but Gelis said the new place more likely will open around Thanksgiving.
Even though the demand for high-end restaurants is slowing down, the owners don't want to leave the location. They think it's a great village with loyal customers, he said.
"We just don't want to leave Shorewood," he said.
