• Skokie's Village Crossing Shopping Center sells in landmark retail deal (chicagotribune.com) — Village Crossing, the large shopping center on the Niles–Skokie border, has been sold for $122 million in what's reportedly the Chicago area's biggest retail deal in a decade. New owner Fairbourne Properties plans significant capital investments and aesthetic upgrades, while keeping the center's strong tenant mix that many Skokie residents rely on for shopping and entertainment.
