• Skokie Police Shoot Man Armed With Butcher Knife With Rubber Bullets (patch.com) — Skokie residents saw a tense scene Tuesday night when police used rubber bullets to subdue a man armed with a butcher knife during a reported domestic dispute on Lorel Avenue. Officers say they tried multiple de-escalation tactics as the man allegedly threatened to kill them and appeared in mental health crisis, eventually transporting him to a hospital and urging bystanders to keep a safe distance in future emergencies.
• Matisyahu Confirms Festival of Light Hannukah Dates (relix.com) — Matisyahu is bringing his expanded Festival of Light Hanukkah tour to Skokie on December 7, offering both early and late shows for local fans. The tour now stretches across 14 cities, turning what was once a mostly New York and Miami tradition into a broader national celebration of music and holiday spirit.
