"Chicago Fire" Actor Christian Stolte Will Be Grand Marshal of Skokie 4th of July Parade
New chairman and committee land the TV star in first year of revamped celebration.

Christian Stolte, the actor and regular on the hit TV series “Chicago Fire,” will be the grand marshal of Skokie’s Fourth of July parade this year.
Stolte, a Skokie resident, will be the first grand marshal under a revamped parade with a new chairman and committee. According to Chairman Alan Gerstner, he’ll also be the first celebrity in recent memory to agree to do something like this on the North Shore.
“We were all ecstatic,” Gerstner told the Skokie Review after hearing Stolte had agreed to the gig. “I don’t know of any parade in this area that has ever had a prime-time star of a hit show as their grand marshal.”

A native of St. Louis, Stolte has lived in Skokie for the last several years.
