SKOKIE, IL — The following information comes from the Skokie Police Department as a record of those recently arrested. Readers are reminded an arrest is not an indication of guilt and criminal charges represent merely accusations that are often dropped or reduced.

HOME BURGLARY
A suspicious incident was reported in the 3300 block of Crain Street on Nov. 23 around 1 p.m.

ROBBERY
Someone stole a purse from a woman walking through a parking lot in the 9600 block of Skokie Boulevard shortly after 4 p.m. on Nov. 25.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE
Someone shattered the front windshield, driver's side front window, driver's side rear window and passenger's side front window in the 5000 block of Suffield Court on Nov. 27 between 1-7 p.m.

BURGLARY
Someone broke into a business in the 8200 block of Kimball Avenue between Nov. 20 and Nov. 27 and stole numerous power tools.

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT
Someone used a knife to threaten a person in the workout area in the 3400 block of Touhy Avenue on Nov. 27 around 10:47 a.m.

AGGRAVATED CRIMINAL SEXUAL ABUSE
An incident of sexual abuse was reported to police in the 5100 block of Carol Street on Nov. 27 at 3:37 p.m.

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT
Two people reported being the victim of an aggravated assault and the unlawful use of a weapon following an incident in the 9100 block of Forestview Road on Nov. 27 shortly after 7 p.m.

IDENTITY THEFT
A resident in the 4900 block of Crain Street reported that someone had used personal information to open up an unauthorized account and run up charges on it.

ARRESTS

Ibrahim Said Hassan, 18, of the 2800 block of West Sherwin Avenue, Chicago, was arrested Nov. 23 in the 7500 block of Karlov Avenue and charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance.

[Name removed] of Evanston was arrested Nov. 24 at 2:25 a.m. in the 5100 block of Oakton Street and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration of more than 0.08.


Jennifer Erin Mertz-Shea, 34, of the 3800 block of Kirk Street, was arrested Nov. 24 at 2 p.m. at the Skokie Police Department and charged with two counts of theft.

Ryan T. McNeela, 31, of the 5200 block of Old Orchard Road, was arrested Nov. 24 at 11:21 p.m. at his home and charged with unlawful use of weapons, manufacture of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Myreon Anthony Flowers, 19, of the 7600 block of Lincoln Avenue, was arested Nov. 25 at 6:28 p.m. at his home and charged with theft.

Mitchell C. Johnson, 21, of the 600 block of Cherrywood Drive, Wheeling, and Michael Arvid Ognar-Pettersson, 23, of the 100 block of Colony Drive, Inverness, were arrested Nov. 26 at 5:10 a.m. in the 3800 block of Jerome Street and each charged with disorderly conduct. (No photographs available.)


Luke Horner, 30, of the 6600 block of North Greenview Avenue, Chicago, was arrested Nov. 27 at 5:21 p.m. at the Skokie Police Department and charged with theft.

Paul J. Comitz, 52, of the 2400 block of Wood Street, River Grove, was arrested Nov. 28 at 11:45 a.m. at the Skokie Courthouse and charged with retail theft.

Val Halen Icao Subrean, 30, of the 1800 block of West Palm Drive, Mount Prospect, was arrested Nov. 28 at 3:48 p.m. at Old Orchard Center and charged with retail theft.

Margaret Chen, 19, of the 7800 block of Tripp Avenue, was arrested Nov. 29 at 6:21 p.m. at Old Orchard Center and charged with retail theft.

Sharo D. Yousif, 27, of the 9800 block of North Lauren Lane, Niles, was arrested Nov. 30 at 5:20 p.m. in the 3900 block of Greenwood Street and charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and possession of a controlled substance. (No photograph available.)


Steven Rubin, 65, of the 8300 block of Trumbull Avenue, was arrested Nov. 30 at 8:14 p.m. in the 7300 block of McCormick Boulevard and charged with three counts of criminal damage to property.

Tomas Ramirez, 35, of the 3000 block of Arthur Court, was arrested Dec. 1 at 9 p.m. at the Skokie Police Department on an in-state warrant and also charged with leaving the scene of a property damage accident and driving a vehicle without insurance or a valid license.
