No Timetable for CTA's Yellow Line Return

Restoring service is "a very complicated undertaking," spokesperson says.

It could be a while before the CTA’s Yellow Line will be up and running again.

CTA directed questions on the matter to the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago.

“This is a very complicated undertaking, and experts are evaluating alternatives based upon various factors,” said Allison Fore, Public and Intergovernmental Affairs Officer for the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago. “We are working with the CTA to restore service as soon as possible in the safest manner possible. At this time, the date for resumption of service has yet be determined. We thank the public and the CTA for their continued patience.”
