SKOKIE, IL — Work by local student artists will be on display for nearly a month starting Thursday in Skokie, according to the village.

Skokie's Fine Arts Commission is hosting its annual youth art show — Students' Outstanding Artistic Recognition Program, or SOAR — through the first week of April at the North Shore Center for the Performing Arts.

The show kicks off with a private gathering featuring an address from a local artist to offer further inspiration to the students, the village said. Participating students were selected by their teachers at both public and private schools in Skokie.
