Suspect Threatens To Post Video, Demands Money: Skokie Crimes

SKOKIE, IL — The following information comes from the Skokie Police Department as a record of those recently arrested. Readers are reminded an arrest is not an indication of guilt and criminal charges represent merely accusations that are often dropped or reduced.
INCIDENTS
THEFT
Someone stole pallets from Marketplace on Oakton in the 4800 block of Oakston St between 1:27 and 2:04 p.m. on Dec. 2.

THEFT
Two women or girls stole multiple hair products from the Walgreens, 9150 Skokie Blvd., around 2:08 p.m. on Dec. 2.
STOLEN CAR
Someone stole a white Audi Q7 from the lot of Sherman Dodge, 7601 Skokie Blvd, at 11:46 p.m. on Dec. 2.

STOLEN CAR
A vehicle was stolen from the 3800 block of Lee Street around 6:16 p.m. on Dec. 3.
THEFT FROM VEHICLE
Someone stole all four tires and rims from a 2013 Honda parked in the 7800 block of Kenneth Avenue between 6 p.m. Dec. 3 and 7:21 a.m. Dec. 4.
FORGERY
A woman or girl used counterfeit bills to pay a credit card balance at the Nordstrom at Old Orchard Center.
IDENTITY THEFT
A resident in the 9000 block of Ewing Avenue reported that someone had used their checking account to pay for some unknown person's purchase.
EXTORTION
A resident in the 8500 block of Monticello Street reported that an unidentified person had contacted them and threatened to post a video online unless they sent money.
AGGRAVATED IDENTITY THEFT
A resident in the 7400 block of Lincoln Avenue reported that someone used stolen credit cards to make unauthorized purchases.
ARRESTS
Mayjorio D. Pope, 30, of the 1500 block of McDaniel Avenue, Evanston, was arrested at 4:03 a.m. on Dec. 2 in the 3200 block of Howard Street and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration above 0.08.

Carlos Anibal Angamarca-Gonzalez, 34, of the 4800 block of West Newport Avenue, was arrested at 5:45 a.m. on Dec. 3 in the 4800 block of Dempster Street and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration above 0.08.

Virgil M. Thomas, 24, of the 5800 block of South Michigan Avenue, Chicago; Micole Iyanna Boyd, 26, of the 600 block of Hickory Street, Chicago Heights and Damarquez D. Martin, 21, of the 5600 block of South Perry Avenue, Chicago, were all arrested the afternoon of Dec. 3 at Macy's, 4909 Old Orchard Ctr., and charged with shoplifting.



Ahmed M. Mohammed, 31, of the 5100 block of Golf Road, was arrested 11:40 a.m. on Dec. 4 and charged with criminal trespassing in the 9100 block of Lawler Avenue following a report earlier that morning.

Latasha Shields, 31, of the 800 block of North Latrobe Avenue, Chicago, was arrested Dec. 4 at 6:20 p.m. in the 5700 block of West Madison Street and charged with battery and criminal damage to property.

Osmond C. Anleu, 33, of the 4800 block of Carol Street, Skokie, was arrested Dec. 6 at 4:04 a.m. at his home and charged with aggravated assault in connection with an incident at the same location around 2:30 a.m.

Gary A. Edelman, 64, of the 7500 block of Kolmar Avenue, was arrested Dec. 7 at 4:40 p.m. at his home and charged with unlawful use of a weapon by a felon.

Alana N. Smith, 18, of the 9100 block of Ewing Avenue, was arrested Dec. 7 at 7:20 p.m. and charged with forgery and identity theft, both felonies. (No photograph available.)
Santiago Landa, 50, of the 4500 block of West Foster Avenue, Chicago, was arrested at 9:30 p.m. on Dec. 8 in the 7300 block of Crawford Avenue and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration above 0.08. (No photograph available.)
Dametre J. Ibry, 26, of the 1700 block of Simpson Street, Evanston, was arrested at the Dunkin' Donuts/Baskin Robbins in the 4400 block of Golf Road on four warrants for probation violations in Cook County. (No photograph available.)
Shah Ahmedudin Mohammed, 31, of the 4900 block of Hull Street, Skokie, was arrested at 5:28 p.m. on Dec. 9 at his home on two warrants for failure to appear in Cook County court.
