• Carpentersville board OKs contract for new 911 dispatching service (barringtonhillsobserver.com) — Carpentersville has approved a contract to move its 911 dispatching to SEECOM in 2027, a change that could affect how regional partners like South Barrington police are served through QuadCom. Village trustees voted unanimously, despite objections from union leaders and dispatchers, and have already given formal notice they will withdraw from the long-standing QuadCom system next year.
