• South Elgin man injured officer, threatened to shoot during standoff, police say (fox32chicago.com) — Police say a 56-year-old South Elgin resident was arrested after allegedly injuring an officer, barricading himself in a home on Oakwood Lane, and threatening to shoot during a Sunday afternoon standoff. Kane County SWAT ultimately took him into custody, and he now faces multiple felony and misdemeanor resisting-related charges while being held at the Kane County Jail.
