$1 Million Winning Lottery Ticket Sold in University Village

CHICAGO, IL - Someone who bought a Powerball ticket in University Village before Saturday night’s drawing is about to become a millionaire.

A $1 million winning Quick Pick ticket was purchased at the 7-Eleven at 1350 S. Halsted. The ticket matched the first five numbers, 05 - 25 - 26 - 44- 66 - (09) - to win the prize, according to Illinois Lottery officials.

The $1 million ticket from University Village was one of two in Illinois from the drawing that saw the seventh highest jackpot in Powerball history at $429.6 million. The other Illinois winner was sold in Lombard. That too was a Quick Pick sold at a 7-Eleven.
