Toddler Hit By Car, Killed In West Englewood
A TV report indicates the 3-year-old boy who was hit by a car in West Englewood on Thursday has died.

CHICAGO, IL - A 3-year-old boy who was hit by a car in the city's West Englewood neighborhood Thursday evening has died. NBC-Chicago reports the boy was pronounced dead at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn after he was taken there in critical condition around 5:30 p.m.
Chicago police said the boy and an adult woman were struck by a vehicle in the 7100 block of South Damen. A surveillance video from a grocery store in that area shows a red van striking the two as they attempted to cross Damen at 71st. The driver of the van stopped and was not charged.
The boy, identified as Kiare Woods, was with his aunt when they were both struck by the van in a crosswalk, according to the Chicago Tribune. The aunt suffered an injury to her arm.
