4 Men Shot On Porch In South Chicago, 2 Fatally

CHICAGO — Four men were shot on a porch Sunday evening in South Chicago. Two of the men, ages 18 and 20, died of their gunshot wounds; the other two, also 18 and 20, survived their wounds. No one is in custody.

Around 6:47 p.m., Chicago police said a man approached the group on foot and produced a handgun, firing off several shots. The alleged shooter fled on foot. Police think another shooter was also involved.

An 18-year-old man was struck in the forearm and thigh. He was transported to an unknown hospital in fair condition.

A 20-year-old man was hit in the abdomen and was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center, initially reported in fair condition.

A 20-year-old man suffered gunshot wounds to the buttocks and stomach. He was pronounced at Advocate Aurora Christ Medical Center.

The 18-year-old was shot multiple times and was pronounced at University of Chicago.

Detectives were out combing the area for evidence. Multiple rounds were recovered at the scene, including rifle rounds, 9mm, and 45 Gallagher rounds, CPD Deputy Chief Larry Snelling said in a news conference.
