54-Year-Old Woman Killed When Motorcycle Hits Pothole in Chinatown
Chicago police said the woman fell off the motorcycle and hit her head on the pavement.
CHICAGO — A Chicago woman died immediately from injuries she suffered falling off a motorcycle late Monday afternoon in Chinatown, authorities said.
Just after 5 p.m., Monica Alcantar Soto, 54, was driving a motorcycle in the 2200 block of South Archer Avenue when it struck a pothole, causing her to fall off. Chicago police said the woman suffered head trauma and was pronounced dead on the scene at 5:07 p.m.
