Body of Woman Pulled From Lake Michigan Near Oakwood Beach
Chicago police are conducting a death investigation after the body of a woman between the ages of 30 and 40 was found in the water.

CHICAGO — A death investigation is underway after a body was pulled from the waters of Lake Michigan late Sunday evening.
Around 10:30 p.m., officers in the Chicago police marine unit responded to a call of a person in the water near Oakwood Beach in the 4100 block of South Oakenwald. Officers pulled the body of a woman between the ages of 30 and 40 from the water. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The body was brought to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office, where undergo an autopsy will take place Monday. Area One detectives are investigating the cause of death. No further details are available at this time.
