'Come Here, Little Girl,' Man With Knife Yelled To 11-Year Old

Police say a man tried to lure an 11-year-old girl on 45th Street with a pocket knife Tuesday morning.

CHICAGO, IL – An 11-year-old girl was approached by a man who got out of his car with a pocket knife and attempted to lure her in his direction Tuesday morning on the South Side. Police are looking for who the victim described as an African-American man between 20 and 25 years old with a light complexion and thin mustache in connection with the luring attempt reported at 8:35 a.m. in the 800 block of East 45th Street.

The man, according to police, yelled "hey, come here, little girl" after he got out of the car, which police say was a gray sedan with tinted windows. At the time of the incident, police say the man was wearing a black baseball cap with a white logo on the front, red t-shirt and black jogging pants.

He chased the girl, but police say he eventually got back into the car and made a U-turn before heading east on 45th Street.
