Driver Fatally Struck Man Working On Car: Police
A 22-year-old man was hit by a truck and killed at 87th and Lafayette Monday afternoon.
CHICAGO - A 22-year-old man was struck by a pickup truck and killed Monday afternoon on the South Side. The victim was working on a car in the 100 block of West 87th Street around 3 p.m. when he was struck by a truck driven by someone he knew, police said.
The driver fled the scene but was later taken into custody. Charges were pending as of later Monday afternoon.
