Pizza Drivers Robbed At 101st And Eggleston
Drivers have been robbed of pizzas, money and cell phones while making deliveries to one block in the city's Fernwood neighborhood.

CHICAGO, IL - Pizza business owners on the Far South Side should be aware of two recent incidents in which delivery drivers were robbed on the same block. Chicago police released a community alert regarding armed robberies of delivery drivers in the 400 block of West 101st Place at 6:20 p.m. on Sept. 19 and in the 10100 block of South Eggleston Avenue at 10 p.m. on Oct. 1. The locations of the similar crimes are less than one block apart.
In both incidents, it was four black men who appeared to be between 17 and 20 years old who took the food, cash and drivers' cell phones after a pizza order was made to be delivered to the area. One of the men was armed with a handgun in both incidents.
Police are asking businesses to call police if a delivery order is made to these locations. Drivers should keep a minimal amount of money with them and a record of their cell phone serial numbers.
