Donald Trump Knocks Chicago on Crime Problem Ahead of Appearance Here
The presumptive Republican presidential nominee tweeted about inner city crime in America, using Chicago as the lone example.

Chicago, IL - Donald Trump used Chicago as an example of the country’s inner city crime problem hours before his fundraising appearance at the Trump Tower.
“Crime is out of control, and rapidly getting worse. Look what is going on in Chicago and our inner cities. Not good!” the presumptive Republican presidential nominee tweeted Tuesday morning.
“For too many years, our inner cities have been left behind. I am going to deliver jobs, safety and protection for those in need,” he later added.

Data from the Chicago Tribune shows the number of homicides and shootings in Chicago this year are more than the number in New York City and Los Angeles combined. The city is on pace to have the deadliest year since the 1990s.
Trump is in Chicago Tuesday for a big money fundraiser after the tower named after him. Tickets for the 10 a.m. event are $10,000, with $25,000 being charged for a photo with the candidate. VIP tickets are $100,000.

This election is a choice between law, order & safety - or chaos, crime & violence. I will make America safe again for everyone. #ImWithYou

A protest with multiple speakers is expected to take place near the event at Wabash Avenue and Wacker Drive. It was organized in part by Illinois 9th District U.S. Representative Jan Schakowsky, D-Evanston, who sent a Monday email to constituents notifying them of Trump’s plans.
Schakowsky will be in Washington, D.C., and not in attendance at the protest.
Scheduled speakers at the protest include Illinois National Organization for Women President Susan Straus, SEIU Healthcare Illinois Executive Vice President Greg Kelley and Inner-City Muslim Action Network Executive Director Rami Nashashibi, the Tribune reported.
