Streeterville, Washington Heights Residents Alerted To Pair Of Armed Robberies
In one of the robberies, Chicago police said the victim was pistol-whipped in the face. At least four suspects were reported by witnesses.

CHICAGO—Chicago police are alerting residents in the Streeterville and Washington Heights neighborhoods to a pair of armed robberies that occurred March 6.
At least four people have been reported driving up to distracted citizens and taking their personal items at gunpoint. One of the purported robbers reportedly pistol-whipped a victim in the face, police said.
In another robbery, police said the crew sat in a vehicle waiting for shoppers to exit a department store. The crew drove up and exited the vehicle, robbing victims by force.

Both robberies occurred during daytime hours. The first robbery happened in Washington Heights just before 11:30 a.m. in the 9200 block of South May Street. A few hours later, just after 2 p.m. in Streeterville, the suspects are believed to have struck again in the 120 block of East Oak Street.
Three suspects were dressed in all-black clothing and wearing face masks. Another was described as wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, and another wore a blue hat, witnesses told police.
