Toddler Among 3 Killed In Englewood Crash
A high-speed crash at 69th and Loomis Monday night killed two adults and a 3-year-old while injuring several others.

CHICAGO – Three people were killed, including one 3-year-old child, when a speeding car collided with a few others at the intersection of 69th and Loomis in the city's Englewood neighborhood Monday night. The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office identified the toddler as Cabari Turner of Gary, Indiana. He was pronounced dead at 10:28 p.m. at the University of Chicago Comer Children's Hospital.
Also killed in the crash were Antonio Cowan, of the 7800 block of South Ada and Chrishawn Turner, 25, of the 8100 block of South Vernon. Three others - a 2-year-old girl, 26-year-old woman and 43-year-old woman - were injured as part of the crash and taken to various hospitals in stable condition.
Chicago police tried to stop a speeding sedan on 69th Street around 7 p.m., but were unable to as they say the car continued eastbound at a high rate of speed. Failing to make a stop at the light at 69th and Loomis, the car then struck a vehicle and that impact caused the second car to hit two others stopped at the light, police said.
