Watch Parolee Try To Sneak Pot Into Stroger Hospital

Cook County Sheriff's Office officials say it was David Fuller who left a bag on marijuana under a bathroom door.

CHICAGO, IL – A man who was on parole for an aggravated battery conviction was caught on video trying to bring marijuana into the inmate bathroom at Stroger Hospital back in January, Cook County Sheriff Thomas Dart said this week. A Cook County Sheriff's Office investigation resulted in charges filed against David Fuller of the 1900 block of South Drake Avenue in Chicago.

Dart shared a video clip of the incident on Vimeo.

Authorities say it was Fuller, 27 who on Jan. 30 quickly entered a hallway at the hospital in the Illinois Medical District and left after placing a package underneath a door. That door, according to police, is the inmate-only bathroom at Stroger and the package was apparently meant to be picked up by a Cook County jail inmate who had an appointment at Stroger that day.

An investigation began the day of the incident when Cook County correctional staff found approximately 6 grams of suspected marijuana in the inmate bathroom. Stroger Hospital staff helped Sheriff's Office investigators identify Fuller as the person who placed the package there, Dart said.

Fuller was arrested and charged with attempting to bring cannabis into a penal institution on March 20.
