Woman Has Purse Snatched While Pumping Gas In Canaryville: Video
Watch a surveillance video that shows a man quickly snatch a purse from a woman who was pumping gas at 43rd and Union earlier this summer.
CHICAGO, IL - Chicago police are still trying to find a man who quickly snatched a woman's purse while she was pumping gas at a station in the city's Canaryville neighborhood earlier this month. A surveillance video of the June 22 incident that briefly shows the robber was shared this week by the Chicago Police Department on YouTube.
The video, embedded below, shows a car drive up to the gas station in the 4300 block of South Union Avenue at 2:33 p.m., when a man gets out of the passenger's side of the car and swipes a purse from a woman who appeared to be preparing to pump gas.
The robber quickly gets back in the car as it speeds away.
