Woman Shot, Killed In South Shore Was Victim Of Road Rage

CHICAGO, IL - A 24-year-old woman is dead after she was shot in the head during a road rage incident on the South Side late Tuesday night. The woman, who was not identified as of Wednesday afternoon, was in critical condition when she was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center and later died.

Witnesses in the 7400 block of Yates Avenue in the South Shore neighborhood told police that the shooting occurred during a traffic altercation around 11:41 p.m. No one was in custody as of Wednesday morning.
