Young Children Among 4 Hurt In Crash At 83rd And Dorchester
A 4-year-old girl and 3-year-old boy were injured when a car collided with a telephone pole in Avalon Park.

CHICAGO - Two young children were among four people injured Thursday night when a car crashed into a telephone pole in the city's Avalon Park neighborhood. Chicago Fire Department officials confirmed a 4-year-old girl and 3-year-old boy were injured in what was first reported as a traffic "pin-in" accident at 83rd and Dorchester.
Two adults - a 40-year-old woman and 29-year-old man - were also hospitalized in the crash, fire officials said.
Both children were taken to the University of Chicago Comer Children's Hospital. The adults were moved to the University of Chicago Medical Center. All were in stable condition upon arrival.

Photos shared on social media appear to show a car, a Chevy Cavalier according to police, crashed into a pole on the block. ComEd shut off all power in the area as a crash investigation began.
