2nd Marijuana Dispensary Opening In St. Charles
A soft opening is planned Tuesday for Consume Cannabis, with a grand opening set for Thursday.

ST. CHARLES, IL — St. Charles will open its second recreational marijuana dispensary this week.
A ribbon cutting ceremony and soft opening for Consume Cannibis, located at 584 S. Randall Road, is set for Tuesday afternoon, and an official grand opening is planned for Thursday. On Thursday, the pot dispensary will have food trucks on site, live music from DJ Jame$ Dean and free merchandise giveaways and surprise promotions.
The city's first recreational marijuana dispensary, Zen Leaf, opened in 2021 in a former Jared Jewelry store at 3691 E. Main Street. Consume will be the city's second dispensary and is located in a 4,146-square-foot space formerly occupied by a sports bar, according to Shaw Media.

City rules allow there to be two recreational marijuana dispensaries in St. Charles, including one on the east side of the Fox River and one on the west side.
