Why Are You Seeking Office?

Continue to guide a City out of a recisssion in the most economical manner, guide growth that is market driven and sustainable, continue to shrink our governmental footprint on our residents lifes.

What sets you apart from the other candidates?

In these most difficult times my experiance will enable me to choose the best path for growth and determine what is possible and best for our residents.

Issue 1: What is your ecomonic development strategy for the city of St. Charles?

The market will determine growth. Incentives that are short lived such as sales tax incentives are possible. I don't believe in giving the City away for growth.

Issue 2: In light of the anger over the Lexington Club controversy, what steps would you take to restore trust in city government? To increase transparency?

I voted against Lexington as it is a bad deal for our property tax payers.

It also goes against the standaed development model that until now said the developer pays for everything. It is bad economics that the City will wind up paying the developer $3 million to develop his own land while the City will wait 20 years to see any benefit.

The residents should be allowed to speak on all issues regardless if it is allowed by rule or not.

Issue 3: What steps would you take to help resolve the complaints of alcohol-related problems in the downtown area?

Limit the amount of bar licenses, increae restaurant licenses.

Please add any other information pertinent to your campaign.

This is a time for experiance especially with a new Mayor coming on board. I'm sure there will be a lot of wild promises; and the residents need an experianced Council to know what is doable and what with no basis in reality.
