Blaze Breaks Out Again At Former Pheasant Run Resort

The St. Charles Fire Department is investigating the cause of the fire, which was found in a building at the former resort Saturday.

ST. CHARLES, IL — A blaze broke out again at the former Pheasant Run Resort in St. Charles.

On Saturday, the St. Charles Fire Department was called to the blaze in a building at 4051 East Main Street, which is located on the grounds of the former resort. When fire crews armored at about 7:25 p.m. they found a fire on the second floor of the building.

The blaze was put out within 15 minutes, and firefighters searched the building and found no one inside, according to a news release from the fire department. No one was injured in the blaze.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

This is not the first time a fire has been reported at the former Pheasant Run.

On May 21, 2022, two teens set paper on fire at two separate locations in a building at the former resort and then left the area, according to authorities.

This past year, the teens, a 17-year-old Carol Stream boy and a 15-year-old Wheaton boy, pleaded guilty to felony arson charges and have also been ordered to complete 100 hours of community service and a fire safety program, according to the Daily Herald.

The Pheasant Run Resort has been closed since early 2020.
