ALMAS and North Central College invite students, families, educators, and community leaders to an evening of dialogue, reflection, and empowerment focused on the lived experiences of BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) youth navigating discrimination in educational spaces. The event features an interactive panel discussion with BIPOC youth — including first-generation high school and college students — sharing personal stories alongside mental health professionals offering clinical insight. A community resource fair runs alongside the panel, connecting attendees with local youth-serving and mental health organizations, plus entertainment, interactive activities, and complimentary food.

St. Charles Episcopal Church is hosting a Feeding Ministries Fundraiser at The Wine Exchange in St. Charles on Thursday evening, September 24 beginning at 5:30 p.m. The church has an extensive history of feeding those in need in the Fox Valley, with over 30 years of service to the Trinity Sandwich Board and Hesed House,&nbsp; 15 years of their monthly Free Spaghetti Dinner, and most recently adding Carroll Towers and Lazarus House to their ministry. As corporate food donations have declined the need has increased, with the church now currently serving close to 700 meals each month. They hope to be able to sustain their level of assistance and be prepared to handle any growth the community requires.
The fundraiser will include wine tasting and hors d’oeuvres, a raffle and silent auction, desserts, and additional wine purchases; non-alcoholic beverages will also be served. The Wine Exchange is located at 1 Illinois St #140, St Charles, IL. Tickets can be purchased on the websites of both The Wine Exchange and St Charles Episcopal Church.

Native American artistry and Old West history take center stage in this Classic Collectibles Auction, led by a majestic pair of 6-foot hand-carved Frank Gallagher Cigar Store Indians (Lots 3 and 3a), an early gesso-over-wood advertising figure (Lot 2a), and two historic 1844 London Edition George Catlin lithographs (Lot 2348). The collection features an extraordinary range of Plains weaponry, beadwork, and ceremonial art, including a Northern Plains bear effigy catlinite pipe bowl (Lot 2335), an 1880s tacked leather belt with knife and sheath (Lot 2314), and an 1820s cast iron trade tomahawk (Lot 2317). Bidders will also find exceptional Indigenous textiles, pottery, and basketry spanning the 19th and early 20th centuries, highlighted by an intricate 1910 Western Apache bowl (Lot 2406) and a 1920 Pima coiled basket (Lot 2353). Western outlaw lore comes alive through a spirited series of hand-carved folk art figures portraying legends like Jesse James (Lot 302) and Billy the Kid (Lot 309), displayed alongside authentic Visalia batwing chaps (Lot 2407) and an operational 1/2 scale .32 caliber Gatling gun (Lot 2253).
The journey continues into vintage advertising and vibrant Americana. Electric neon illuminates the room with an impressive Ford Tractor neon sign (Lot 460) and a vintage Genuine Chevy Parts neon display (Lot 461), perfectly complemented by a classic 1950s Coca-Cola Vendo 59 "Spin Top" coin-operated machine (Lot 149) and an authentic N.S.M. Model 240 I jukebox (Lot 191). Fine decorative art enthusiasts will appreciate the exquisite Tiffany Studios gold dore bronze tazza #1702 (Lot 437) alongside dynamic animalier bronzes, while collectors of nostalgia can explore vintage O-gauge Lionel trains, breweriana, and stoneware primitives.

GENEVA, IL, September 17, 2026 – Keller Williams Inspire announces its Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting with an Honorary Proclamation by Geneva Mayor Kevin Burns celebrating the history of “Fieldstone” the original Benjamin Warren Dodson home located at 416 S. Second Street in Geneva on Thursday, September 24th at 4:00 PM. The Geneva Historical Museum will be in attendance with photographs and artifacts reflecting the home’s rich history. 
This historic home affectionately named, “Fieldstone” was commissioned by Benjamin Warren Dodson in 1891 and completed in 1892. The architect was W.W. Clay and was constructed with stone quarried directly from the Dodson farm combined with prairie rock in a Gothic style.
The Fieldstone has seen many changes and from 1925 through 1991 served as the Community Hospital helping residents. It remains an historic icon throughout the Fox Valley.
