St. Charles Woman To Swim for UW-Whitewater

St. Charles East grade Brooke Flesher is named to University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's swimming and diving team.

WHITEWATER, Wis. — Brooke Flesher, a sophomore communication sciences and disorders major from St. Charles, Ill., has been named to the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's swimming and diving team, according to a release from the university.

The Warhawks team, which competes in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, finished fourth in the conference last season.

According to the Warhawks’ team website, Flesher's event is the butterfly. The St. Charles East High School grad is the daughter of Henwood and Cathy Flesher.

“Our scoring is back again this season, and we have multiple performers that have a solid season ahead,” head coach Joel Rollings said in the release. “These women have really been dedicated to staying at peak performance level in the offseason, and because of that, they have a very good chance of doing well at nationals.”

The team next competes at a Dec. 8 meet at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
