Andrew senior shows Real Men Wear Pink

Nearly doubles American Cancer Society fundraising goal

Andrew High School Senior Seth Huisenga was honored by the District 230 School Board for taking on the role of community leader in the American Cancer Society's Real Men Wear Pink campaign to raise awareness and important funds. While the majority of men who take part in this campaign are career professionals, Seth took it upon himself to step up as a community leader at the age of 17.

In nearly doubling the American Cancer Society set fundraising goal, Seth shared, "Cancer has been a part of my life for the last 8 years. Almost immediately after losing my Granddaddy to cancer, my Nonni was also diagnosed with cancer. She has been fiercely fighting this disease for the last 6 years and she is my "hero"!"

It was a true honor to celebrate Seth's passion and commitment, as well as his ability to wear pink every day in October! We are grateful that Seth shared this part of his story in order to make a difference.
