Bolingbrook-Based Physical Therapy Company Buys Tinley Clinic

ATI Physical Therapy purchased Orland Park-based Motion Hand & Physical Therapy, which operates 10 clinics in the Midwest, including one on South West Creek Drive in Tinley Park.

A Tinley Park physical therapy clinic is changing owners after being purchased by a Bolingbrook-based company, according to a press release Wednesday, Oct. 17.

ATI Physical Therapy bought Orland Park-based Motion Hand & Physical Therapy, which ran 10 clinics in the Midwest, including one at 18425 S. West Creek Dr., the release stated. A clinic in Homewood, as well as locations in Indiana and Ohio, were included in the purchase, the release continued.

The clinics, including the Tinley location, changed their names to ATI Physical Therapy as of Oct. 1.

“Motion has an excellent reputation in the hand and occupational therapy arena and we are thrilled to welcome the staff and patients from these clinics to the ATI family,” Jason Hafner, ATI's senior vice president, stated in the release. “With the support and resources of ATI, these clinics will continue to thrive by offering the highest quality hand and physical therapy in a truly unique environment.”

Van Huffine, the owner and director of operations at Motion, will continue with ATI in an unspecified leadership role, the release stated.

ATI Physical Therapy provides orthopedic rehabilitation services in physical therapy and other areas, and the company has more than 190 clinics in seven states, including Wisconsin, Ohio, Maryland, Pennsylvania and Delaware.
