Man Accused of Selling 8-Ball To Undercover Tinley Park Officer
Undercover Tinley Park cop arranged over Facebook to buy crack-cocaine from Harvey man in McDonald's parking lot, prosecutor said.
TINLEY PARK, IL — A Harvey man was arrested for selling crack-cocaine to an undercover Tinley Park cop in the McDonald’s parking lot, prosecutors said. Reginal Miller, 39, appeared before Cook County Judge Terry Gallagher on felony charges if possession of a controlled substance with intent.
Tinley Park police learned from a confidential source that a guy named “Reggie” who lived in the Harvey area was selling crack cocaine, the prosecutor said. An undercover police officer sent a friend request to Miller on Facebook. According to the complaint, after several Facebook messages, Miller arranged to sell an 8-ball for $175 to the undercover cop.
Around 4:30 p.m. Jan. 21, Miller and the officer arrived at McDonald’s near 159th Street and Harlem Avenue where the alleged transaction took place. Miller was taken into custody when he left McDonald’s, the prosecutor said.

Miller served four years in the Illinois Department of Corrections for a similar conviction, the prosecutor said.
The assistant public defender told the judge that Miller is a fry cook at a fast food restaurant.

Bail was set at $10,000 along with electronic monitoring. Miller’s next court date is Feb. 20 un Bridgeview.
